SUBRA!

(A little late post but Christmas Season pa naman!)

The blog title is a long story so I think I have to keep it as our inside friendship joke. Haha. Anyhoo, perhaps all of us could feel nostalgia when we look back on our grade school and even highschool Christmas parties. The excitement of giving gifts and receiving in return and even the thrill of having new clothes. Kasi diba, tuwing birthday lang or Christmas may bagong damit? Haha. When you're already in college, Christmas parties are no longer customary unlike in grade school and highschool. Kaya kanya-kanyang effort and organize. So last December 20, we had our "barkada" Christmas Party and exchanging of gifts at Pahayahay.

What I really enjoyed most was the exchanging of gifts. Why? Because almost everybody took the effort to surprise their respective Kris Kringle. It involved a bit of acting and white lies para di mabisto. Tapos may GMs pa (in my case, blog post and GM) at parinig ng mga gusto na gift. Hihihi.

As for me, I got - guess what- a BOOK!!! Turned out Kent picked me. Ang saya lang kasi it's a John Green book plus two authors. So natupad talaga yung nasa  book wishlist ko! Haha.

And as for the outfit post:

The night didn't end there!

BOOTIES

(Ph: Nise Romero)

This was my ensemble last Washday Wednesday at school. It's a typical jeans and plaid shirt combination. But the true star of this outfit is the black peep-toe wedge booties my Mom and I scored at the ukay-ukay for 50 bucks only! It added a few inches to my height (which I looove)  and best part, they are comfy to walk around in. They are functional yet stylish enough for school and not even a hassle for the commute going home.

What was Jessica Simpson's song again? Oh right, these boots are totally made for walking... Haha

How's your midweek so far?

SMURFS

Wore this one last Sunday while hanging out with friends. Simple blue jersey dress paired with a psychedelic scarf.

Non-fashion topic, but can I just say that I love long conversations with my friends?
It's always therapeutic to the soul. Naks.
Darn, I'm so profound.
Quick post!

TWENTIETH

As promised, here's what I wore to my 20th birthday celebration:
"LBD" or Little Black Dress. Always classy.
Dahil 20 na, dapat mature na rin ang fashion taste. Haha.
May backless pang nalalaman.
Covered up with a velvet blazer I "arbored" from my sister. Hihi.

And since I'm such a gaya-gaya puto maya....
I'll end this quick post with my usual PEG-REALITY photos.

BORN THIS WAY

Last July 6, 2013 was our Black and White College Acquaintance Party. The theme was simple and basic black and white to pay respect to our college dean who just passed away. May his soul rest in peace.
Anyway, let's not dwell on sad thoughts now.

For most of us in the barkada, it's already our last year in college so we decided to come up with something memorable. We came up with an idea to wear shirts with our flaws boldly printed on it.

EXPECTATION:
Glee Season 2 "Born This Way" Episode

REALITY:
TADAAA!!! :))) Oh diba? Pwede na!

TEAM WHITE:
(L-R) Luigi as SUPLADO, myself as KORNY, Charm as MATARAY, Nise as MANHID, Staven as MAREKLAMO

TEAM BLACK:
(L-R) Kent as MATAMPUHIN, Pat as IYAKIN, Akemi as EPAL and Melvin as MAYABANG.

As you can see, I'm Miss KORNY:
At first I can't pick one nega attitude kasi andami.
PAPANSIN, O.A, KURIPOT, ANNOYING...were on the list but KORNY topped it all. Haha.

And as for my outfittey:
Aztec Printed Leggings bought only for P199.00 #cheapskate
Changed into flats later on. Di keri mag-heels all day! :)
I'm KORNY. #idontcareiloveit

DRESSING UP

Every girl loves dressing up and me and my gal pals are no exception. We have this fashion fantasy for ages of going out together while strutting sky-high heels and garbed in super stylish clothes. Tapos chikka-chikka while walking then a papparazi snaps a photo of us.

THINK: Sex and the City girls
You know. THAT kind of imagination. Haha.

So one Saturday we gathered our confidence and decided to "dress-up".
But since we live in a modest city, we have to downplay our fashion fantasies a little.
We can't exactly don sky-high heels because of transportation matters.
But then who knows? We might have the courage someday na i-carry mag-heels plus super outfit habang sakay ng tricycle. Haha.

Anyway, here's us:
My friend Akemi (middle) in a beautiful pink sundress and Kristine (right) in a classic LBD (Little Black Dress).

On the other hand, here's what I wore:
Kept my messy hair in a bun. Pang-nurse ang peg.
LEFT: Black ruffled skirt scored at the bargain section of a local Department Store
RIGHT: Silver top bought for 50 bucks at a thrift store.

I just love dishing out my cheap fashion finds.
Besides, I wouldn't brand myself Chic Cheapskate for nothing. Chos!
Lesson: You need not to wear super expensive clothes to feel fabulous.
You only need girlfriends who are willing to play "dress-up" with you and an ounce of confidence. Chos again. Haha.

We actually watched the What Women Want: FASHION SHOW at SM City General Santos later that afternoon.
My friend Kristine blogged about it  HERE.

This is actually a long overdue post. Teehee.
